Thank you for visiting our web site. The dealership is owned by the late Ricky Hendrick. Ricky purchased the dealership on January 23rd 2003. This was his first business venture after stepping out of the race car in late 2002. Ricky was a driver in the Nascar Busch Series and Nascar Crafstman Truck Series. He drove the #5 for his father and grandfather Rick Hendrick and " Papa Joe" Hendrick until he was hurt in a crash. After a short return to driving after the crash, he decided it was best for himself, his family, and team to step away from racing, and to venture into the retail and racing business. So lucky for us he purchased Ricky Hendrick Performance Honda Suzuki. On October 24th 2004 Ricky lost his life in a plane crash. That plane also included nine others including his uncle and two cousins. The plane was headed for Martinsville Speedway for the Nextel Cup race. Ricky was a very thoughtful and generous person and we strive to relive that with our customers through their buying experience.
